Dear Friend & Subscriber,

I'm not where I'm supposed to be.

Earlier this month, I made my best-ever trip to Costa Rica and returned to Florida feeling on top of the world. It was a beautiful, sunny day and I gave the cab driver directions to where I live on my 46' houseboat in a luxury, gated marina. As soon as I stepped out of my cab...

My World Turned Upside Down!

That's because in the early morning hours just before dawn on that same day, my houseboat had sunk. The staff at the marina managed to get a salvage crew on an emergency basis to raise my houseboat up out of the water and get it floating again. So far, there has been no satisfactory reason given to me as to why my houseboat sunk. It remains a mystery.

Since that boat was my home, just about everything I owned was in it. Now, of course, it's all been destroyed. From the smallest possessions like my photographs, CD's, video tapes, audio cassettes and books... to bigger items like my computer, fax machine and exercise equipment... to larger pieces including all my bedroom, living room and dining furniture... everything.

I've always traveled light to and from Costa Rica. You see, I actually keep a small, second set of clothes there so I won't have to pack much for my visits. Unbeknownst to me, what I put on that day preparing to fly out of Costa Rica (a pair of socks, a pair of underwear, a pair of trousers, a belt and a shirt) would pretty much be all I would have left in this world. In short...

I Was Pretty Much Wearing
Everything I Owned!

I do not consider this a tragedy. No, a tragedy would be if my fiancée said she really didn't love me and we weren't going to be together any more... or... one of my children had been in a serious accident... or... some grievous misfortune had befallen somebody in my "extended family" whom  I love very much.

My loss may not be a tragedy but, it is a massive inconvenience. If there were an "inconvenience scale" with ratings from 1 to 10, I'd give this situation a whopping 10.

Anyway, I've since managed to get a bare bones wardrobe, another computer, and even an apartment. (I have to have some place to lay my head at the end of the day.) Needless to say, I'm struggling endlessly to put some kind of order back into my life and to reconstruct it to a semblance of what it was before my houseboat went down.

Just imagine if you and your family had gone out for dinner only to return home to discover your house had been gutted with fire. That's more or less what I am experiencing and trying to cope with this month.

Why do I tell you all this? Is it merely to "sing the blues"? No. I'm writing this to let you know there is not going to be a March, 2002 issue of The Gary Halbert Letter. I can't write it because I'm simply too occupied with everything I mentioned above... plus... all the preparations I'm making for my upcoming "Patches of Light" seminar. Which, by the way, is only a couple of weeks away.

But, I did want to write all my Subscribers and tell them briefly what has happened to me and give them all the low-down on the seminar. I felt that perhaps some of you may have just learned at the last minute it will be possible for you to attend my seminar. If that's the case, here's the information you need:

My "Patches of Light" Seminar will be held at The Renaissance Orlando Resort (obviously, in Orlando, Florida). It's located at 6677 Sea Harbor Drive (next door to SeaWorld). You can book your room by calling  1-800-468-3571. Be sure to tell them you'll be attending the "Gary Halbert Patches of Light Seminar" because Theresa has negotiated a very special room rate for my attendees. The Renaissance can hold that exclusive rate open for reservations until Wednesday, April 10. The seminar will start at 9:00 a.m. on Friday, April 19 and will end at approximately 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, April 21.

Now don't you waste a single minute feeling sorry for me. I always knew life sucked... and my houseboat sinking with all my belongings...

Is Just One More Proof Of The
Validation Of That Reality!

  Sincerely,

   Gary C. Halbert

P.S. I believe my "Patches of Light" seminar is going to be the most valuable seminar you will ever attend. Why? Simply because at this seminar, I am going to reveal a brand new method of making money with almost no risk and virtually no hassle whatsoever. I sincerely hope you can attend.
P.P.S. Next month I'm going to write a double issue of my newsletter and I promise... as far as making a lot of money and making it quickly... that issue will be one of the most electrifying newsletters you will ever read.

Peace.
